"Fall in Love" Leaf Soap Petals

It seems that often despite the very best intentions most wedding favors are tossed and thrown away immediately after the wedding. It’s nothing personal it just seems that some gifts will only interest a smaller portion of your guests. So what can you do to fight these odds and not waste money in the process? The key is that whatever wedding favors you choose make sure it is useful in some way or another. A useful wedding gift is something that will find its way into your guest’s everyday life. It has to be something while relatively simple to procure is so important to their daily routine that they will find themselves simply lost without it. One of the most effective favors to meet these criteria is bath and soap wedding favors. What is more necessary to everyday life than the routines of the bathroom? This makes them the perfect gift. So complete your conquest of your guests’ attention here are 5 scintillating suggestions to help guide in choosing great soap and bath wedding favors

Look for shaped soaps. These soaps are cheap and come in a variety of interesting shapes. The idea is pretty much similar to what hotels do when they offer courtesy soap and shampoo. Have you ever seen a person not use them? It’s often very rare. Also shape is an eye catcher. Your guests will be intrigued by the shape. Find the more interesting ones and your guests will admire them so much they will feel guilty each time they use it!

Try bubble bath or bath oils as a gift idea. There is nothing more luxurious than a bath except for a bubble bath or bath with bath salts or oils. Combined with warm water in your tube they can give your guests the best hour to hour and a half of their lives. They baths ingredients will help sooth away the days aches and pain and make the tub the prime real estate for relaxation.

Try scented shampoos and body washes. I have to admit this is a personal favorite. But a soap, body wash, or shampoo with the right scents can make any shower or bath a joy to experience. Look for sensuous and intriguing scents like cantaloupe, papaya, or passion fruit. These sweet fragrances will have a soothing and calming effect. The wide selection provided by the internet will allow you to find great smelling bath products at cheap prices. These will be sure fire hits.

At the same time there is also the practical you can buy the beauty tools no person can be without. Get your guests grooming or manicure kits. These are items that are used on a daily basis and there are few guests that would have no use for them. Everyone needs a manicure kit to take care of their fingernails and toenails. Everyone has needs of a trimmer whether it’s for their beard or eyebrows. Finding grooming sets as gifts gives you an opportunity to meet a need your guest take for granted

Finally skin care products will also be a great favor idea. No woman will say no to great skin care products. A good idea is to find cheap products that have proven ingredients. A good example is Aloe Vera Gel. You can get it at any local store but it does many amazing things for the skin. Use this common sense approach to choose great favors.

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

When planning a wedding or bridal shower, dealing with party favors can often test your patience. Are they really necessary? Shower party favors make no sense to some since a shower to them is an event where the bride receives gifts, not gives them to the guests. In any event, some small gifts for the guests can be a thoughtful touch to help the attendees enjoy the affair. If asked, most will say wedding shower party favors are unquestionably required while others don’t agree. Personal choice will prevail, though when in doubt, the giving of small favors is probably a good idea to avoid offending any shower guests.

Some Thoughts On Choosing Bridal Shower Favors

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

by Andrea McClure

Women can have a lot of bridal showers each year and what they don’t need is for your shower to be an event just like all the others. To avoid that happening you need good ideas that will entertain the guests. This is not not as easy as it sounds so you need to be imaginative and remain open minded when planning and don’t overlook the fact that your choice of guest favors can help. People will tell you that the best favors to get are the ones that are both fun to get and decorative. That’s a two for one deal, so you rarely go wrong with that approach.

Who isn’t on a budget and a tight one at that? Consider purchasing “Pucker Up!” Personalized Lip Balm as one suggestion that’s low cost yet always practical and appreciated. If you’ve already chosen a specific theme then it’s easiest to work with that idea but if you want something more general it might be worth looking into getting “Cut Out for Each Other” Stainless-Steel, Heart-Shaped Cookie Cutters or perhaps the similar versions that can be found in a cross shape and even a butterfly shape. Give them with a message that says something like “Lot’s of Love Always Cuts It”.

Sultry, burgundy, satin and shiny pastels are kinds of potpourri sachets available for sale. This old fashioned, yet very girly, choice of shower favors has been used often in the past and still gets the job done today. They can be readily found at on-line websites specializing in wedding shower favors. Recipe cardholders are another great way to send a message to your guests. Since they can be used to hold recipes that will be kept for a long time you are guaranteed a lasting memory. This gift is very appropriate for a kitchen themed bridal party.

Also keep in mind that bridal shower favors are a supposed to be simple yet lovely. When a guest receives a gift, the first thing they usually wonder is why you chose it for them. Make it a point to get gifts that portray your personality and/or the theme of the party to ensure you make an impression.

Stamp Your Nuptials With Personalized Wedding Favors

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

by Andrea McClure

To personalize wedding favors, consider using the monograms of you and your partner’s initials. This is a tasteful way to add your individual touch. This can be applied in many ways throughout the ceremony, reception, and other nuptial events. First they can be used on the cutlery, soaps, tags, and other items. These are all items that can be used later and will invoke memories of your special event for your guest whenever they see or use them.

Photos of the bride and groom are another way to add the personal touch to any guest items at the ceremony. Images are known to form stronger memories than words so a well placed photo on your favors is a very effective way to make your marriage ceremony unforgettable. There is a risk with using photos though as they can make your guest gifts look tacky if not used with discretion. A good idea is to use photos only on items that work best with them such as photo frames, refrigerator magnets, or tags. The key is to make the best use of photos not necessarily use them on every item.

Finally personalizing high use items is another way to make great mementos from the ceremony. The key here is finding something that will definitely have use in your guests’ homes in the future. Good suggestions are soaps, candles, lotions, magnets and pens. Each of these items can be reused in different locations and will surely remind guests of your marriage rites every time they use them.

Bath and Soap Wedding Favor Ideas

Friday, July 17th, 2009

by Andrea McClure

When it comes to favors, brides often go for simple things like candies or ribbons. The ones who want to be creative will use chocolates or teas, or other favors that are edible and tasty. But none of these are things that your guests can really use. Practical gifts are always the best, and soap is the easiest choice of all.

There are many different kinds of soaps on the market. Soaps are sold in boutique shops, made from expensive ingredients and shaped into delicate shells; they are available in health food stores in standard bars, ranging in shade from daisy yellow to dirt brown, and they also come from specialty soap shops in a rainbow of colors and shapes, including birthday cakes. Finding a color, shape and style to suit you will not be difficult. And the more creative the soap, the more attention it will receive from your guests. Who would not love to get a favor shaped like a chocolate chip cookie?

The smell of the soap in question can be important. Many people love the smell of flowers, while others enjoy more earthy smells. The trick is to find a scent that will please your guests. You may have to find two and maybe even three types of smells that will work for everyone. And do not neglect those guests that may have allergies; it would be a shame to leave them out. Have a basket of nicely wrapped, unscented soaps for them and make sure to keep them separated from the scented versions. They will appreciate the gesture, and you will know for certain that you have made everyone happy.

Bath salts are a lovely way to combine smells and textures without using soap. The recipient can also better control the amount they use, whether it be more or less than normal. They are easy to make, and you can add whatever ingredients you wish. Every recipe will be slightly different, but you can add or subtract ingredients to appeal to the audience for whom it was intended. You can also use different salts to get different results.

Another idea is to make favor packages for your guests. You could include things for a spa night, such as cooling eye masks, a face mask, and maybe some lotion or oil. Hand towels would be the finishing touch for this favor, as well as a few small candles. Don’t forget to decorate your package with color coordinated ribbons and a nice tag that has a short message thanking your guest for their presence. When your guests use this gift, they will think of you and remember your generosity.

There is no need to do all of the work yourself. Invite your out of town guests over and make the favors as a group. It is a wonderful way to spend time with people that you may not have seen in a while and an excellent way to get work done. Your out of town guests will have a blast and some very special memories of the time. Both pre and post wedding.

Soaps and bath oils are a wonderful gift for any guest. Not only are they practical, but beautiful too. Be creative and unique with your planning, and your guests will have the adventure of a lifetime, thanks to you.
